From Kiwifruit Side Streams to Advanced Biomaterials
Materially Kiwi is developing a circular biomaterials platform that transforms New Zealand kiwifruit side streams into refined, high-value material inputs.
Our first application is a premium leather-like material for fashion, accessories and selected interiors. The current development pathway targets high bio-based content, plastic-free formulations, non-hazardous chemistry, traceable sourcing and performance suitable for commercial manufacturing.
Formulation development, scale-up and independent performance validation are continuing as we progress towards commercial readiness.
